教学目标:

1.Get the students to learn the following useful new words and expressions in the passage: journal, fare, transport, finally, stubborn, insist, valley...

2.Get the students to learn about the usage of The Present Continuous Tense to express future actions

二、学时重点:

Get the students to learn different reading skills

三、学时难点:Develop the students reading ability ,especially the ability of understanding

四、学情分析:Some students are not good at English, especially spoken English and they aren’t interesting in English, which affected the good students

Discuss the means of transport

Step3 Pre-reading

Let the students know about Mekong

Step4 Skimming

六、教学反思:

According to the text, the students have understood the text. At the same time,the students have learn about the Mekong River. Most importantly, the studens have improved the reading comprehension.
