Step 1: Lead-in

T: Do you like sandwiches?

Different people like different kinds of sandwiches. We have known how to make a sandwich, now please follow me to buy some ingredients and make some sandwiches you like, OK?

Step 2: Presentation (1a, 1b)

1.Word study

The teacher shows the photos on the multimedia about the words of this period. Let students give the translation.

The teacher gives a picture about a sandwich and ask students to make a list and write them on the book.

2. Pair work

Let students take turns asking partner what he or she likes in sandwiches.

Talk freely.

Speaking and writing.

2. T: We have known the ingredients of making a sandwich. Then what should be put first? What should be put next? What should be put finally? Look at 1d . Let’s listen again. Write the ingredients in the order we hear them.

3.T: We have known the ingredients and the process of making a sandwich. Now let’s practice how to make a sandwich. Tell your partner how to make your favorite sandwich.

Step4. Summary.

Ask the students to sum up the contents of this lesson.

Step6. Home work.

Write a composition using the words like first, next, then and finally to talk about something of your own.
