This text mainly talks about friendship which students are familiar with.Besides,students have already learned the history of the Second World War so their previous knowledge about it can lessen their difficulty of comprehension. But most of them may not know the sufferings of Jewish people during the war.

Ss have already previewed the key words and expressions of the text.

Most Ss are not familiar with reading skills, and they still need training.

To master the reading skill of skimming and scanning.

1.Ss can not master all the new words and expressions, and some difficult sentences in class because of the limited time. So the teacher should spend more time to deal with these points.
