Unit3 Spring Begins from March

Ⅰ.Greeting .

T: Good morning ,class !

S: Good morning ,teacher !

T:Are you happy ?

S:Yes ,we are .

Ⅱ.Review some words about months.------use word cards .

(January .February .March .April .May .June.July .August .September .October .November .December .)

Ⅲ.Lead-in

Show the calendar .

ⅰ.Give the students some minutes to circle their birthday and the birthdays` of their family members .

ⅱ.Ask two or three students to come the front , then circle the birthday of themselves. At last ,the teacher introduce the birthdays` of his family members in English .

Eg, T: When is your birthday ?

S1:It is on October 2nd .

T:When is your father`s birthday ?

S2: It is on-----

T:What about your mother`s ?

S2: It is on-----

Ⅳ. Presentation .

the teacher show the pictures , let the students look at it ,the show the tape and listen to the text .

divide the students into many groups ,three or four people of a group ,the give out the cards of questions .

give some minutes to skim it, find and discuss ,then answer the questions .

Translate the sentence one by one in simple English

Listen to the tape again

Read after the teacher for two times

Summary:

Spring is from March to May .

Summer is from June to August.

Autumn is from September to November.

Winter is from December to February.

All of the students read the text together for each groups .

Ⅴ.Practice Activities .

play a game

the teacher show the item ,the ask two students to come to the front ,one student play ,the other says words about months .the teacher try to more students to play it .

Ⅵ.Homework .

Please recite this text .

Make up a conversation about the text .

Ⅶ.Listen to the music .
