一、教材分析及设计意图 

本堂课是人教版必修五第二单元的语言运用部分sightseeing in London,主要介绍了伦敦的著名景点。设计旨在通过对文本信息不同形式的处理,有效地训练同学们的听、说、阅读及写作的能力。

二、教学目标

根据《教学大纲》的要求和学生已有的知识基础和认知能力,仔细学习和分析教材之后,我确定了以下教学目标:

Guide students to know some historical and tourist sites in London.

Help the students to develop their reading skills and learn to write a journal.

Arouse the students’ interest of historic and cultural sites, and promote their cultural awareness.

三、教学重点和难点

1.Useful words and expressions.

2.How to describe famous sites.

3.Write the travel journal.

四、教学过程

Step 1warming up and lead-in

Workby oneself

The purpose is to attract students, lead to the topicand expandstudent’shorizon.

Ask the questions:Do you know London?

Have you ever been to London?

Today, let’s go to London together.

Enjoy a video of London’sten top sights together. Alsoask them to remember some names in the video then write them down and show them to your classmates.

Showpictures of textbook, and name the places to familiar the test.

All students have a general memory of the test. Prepare for the following task.

Step2listening

Work in pairs

To practice listening,know more content of the test.

Ask students to listen to the tape, remember and underline the name of the sites also the comment to the places which Pingyu visited on Day 1.Then ask 4 students to fill the chart on the blackboard.

Check the answers and praise better ones especially the beautiful writings.

Group work

To practice reading skills skimming and scanning,Find detailsquickly in the test. Try to experience Zhang Pingyu’s feelings, after 3days’ trip.

Ask students to read the test aloud and solve some problems.

鼓楼(Drum Tower)位于新华路荷花池(Lotus pond)畔,它历史悠久。现在已经重新扩建,并对外开放。一层回廊(corridor)图片展览(exhibition),二层可拍照留念。

本课堂教学中的听,读,说都是为了写而设计的。引导学生整合课文中的相关词汇、短语、句式、让学生有话可写。通过学习文本激活学生们原有的知识储备,新旧知识交替运用,顺利完成了教学目标。但语言表达缺乏高级词汇及句式的运用。

本课前半部分处理的较快,文本内容挖掘不深;下次在上课应加深这部分的细化,避免流于形式。

世界著名建筑猜测环节有效的检测了孩子们对建筑的了解,拓宽了他们的视野。

写作环节联系生活实际,介绍孩子们熟悉的话题“鼓楼”,引发共鸣,让他们产生了极大的兴趣,此部分较成功
