德育目标
1.通过本节课的学习,加深对中华文明和中国文化的了解和理解,热爱祖国的悠久历史和灿烂文化,注重民族文化的传承;培养爱国主义情怀、增强民族自尊心、自信心和自豪感。并借助目标语言向世界各国人民介绍中国的发明和社会的发展。
2.让学生通过阅读,了解刘选为发明激光照排不懈努力、永不言弃的事迹,学习他坚持自己的梦想并为之努力奋斗的精神。同时,为了促使学生能够在输出环节言之有物、有效输出,学生在课前上网查找自己喜欢的中外科学家,以及他们的重要发明和发明中的一些故事, 使学生开阔了视野。通过本课学习既要看到中华文明为人类文明进步做出的贡献,同时也要以开放的心态和审辨的思维学习和汲取世界各国人民创造的优秀成果。教师引导学生针对同学展示的内容、从名人身上学习他们的优秀品质。
教学背景分析
教材分析:
本节课的教学内容出自北师大版《英语》九年级(全一册)第三单元Communication Workshop 部分。本单元话题为著名的发明家,在第7—9课,学生通过听力和阅读活动,进行了语言学习和初步应用。第7课课文介绍了著名发明家达芬奇以及他的发明,通过讲述他发明的重要性,突出表现了这位伟大发明家的聪明才智。第8课是一段有关讨论发明的利与弊的辩论,通过两位辩论者的讨论,帮助学生树立正确对待不同发明的态度。第9课介绍了四个小孩通过发觉生活中的一些不太便利的事情,从而激发他们发明出了一些与实际生活息息相关的物品,鼓励学生热爱生活,勇于创新。Communication Workshop是本单元的最后一课,是一节读写结合课,聚焦语言的体验和应用,侧重对写作能力与口头表达能力的培养,即以书面的形式对你敬佩的发明家进行描述,并能以此话题与同伴进行交流。
本课的教学设计分为两个课时,第一课时侧重对课文的理解,引导学生提取文章的主要信息和具体细节信息,并在整理信息的过程中,引导学生归纳写作的篇章结构、关注并学习各部分介绍的具体信息和语言,最后完成关于介绍你敬佩的发明家的写作准备,家庭作业为使用课文中的目标语言完成输出性写作任务。第二课时,教师根据评价反馈表,通过在全班进行范文点评,引导学生进行写作自评及互评,引导学生在落实教学目标的基础上,去欣赏彼此在语言及内容上的优点。在学生对写作内容进行修改后,进行全班交流,由学生朗读自己写的作文,最后学生们能够和同伴进行自由交流,展开谈论世界各国发明家的话题。
本课是第一课时。课文内容主要讲述的是激光汉字录入发明家王选和他的发明以及他的个人的优秀品质。文章分文三个部分,第一部分:王选的简介,包括他的名字和主要成就;第二部分:王选的发明,包括为什么要发明激光汉字录入,王选是怎样发明这项技术的以及这项技术的重要性;第三部分:我们应该向王选学习什么。在介绍王选和他的发明时,作者使用了一些介绍人物成就,发明重要性,发明过程中的艰辛以及王选坚持不懈最终成功,作者对于王选优秀品质描述的经典语言。
学生情况:
整体情况:本班学生在初三16个平行班中英语学习水平属于中等偏上。大部分学生对于英语学习比较感兴趣,乐于参与课堂教学的各种活动,但是在班级中也存在个别1-2名学困生,他们只能就简单问题进行交流。学生们乐于参加小组活动,有一定的合作、分享意识,学生习惯于同伴间的合作学习,能够积极讨论,就一些简单的问题进行问答练习,大部分学生能够在对话中发表自己的观点。
知识储备:学生进入初三已经储备了一定的词汇。在本单元,学生将掌握写人的文章结构、写人的语言、可以使用的连接词语。本节课的重点是能够在范文的帮助下,写出一篇有关自己喜欢的发明家的作文。话题方面:学生在本单元已经听到、读到或谈到了一些发明家的故事,学生脑海里已经形成了关于不同发明家的映像,也有了部分相关词汇的储备。学生完成了课前探究作业。
课前探究作业:以小组合作学习的形式为学生布置了网上查找自己喜欢的中外科学家的简介以及他们的重要的发明和发明中的一些故事。
情感态度:学生们对于名人及发明很感兴趣,有阅读积极性,但是部分学生没有树立积极进取,勇于创新,永不放弃的意识。
教学方法:Task-based language teaching method
技术准备:电脑,投影设备,教学课件和学案。

Look at the pictures about four famous inventions in ancient China, and Ask the students what they think of ancient Chinese people..
And Tell them in ancient times we Chinese people began to use movable type printing. We had used it to print Chinese characters for a long time. But now what do we use for printing.. Now let’s watch a video. After watching, ask the students to tell the answer.
Then tell the students“Now we use laser typesetter for printing. But at first it can\t be used to print Chinese characters, later, a person invented the Chinese language laser typesetting. After that, we can use it to print Chinese”
