What’s the matter?教学设计
子洲二中 王某某
【教材依据】本节课为新目标人教版八年级下册第一单元第一课时sectionA(1a-1c)。本单元的语言功能项目是“谈论健康问题和事故并提出建议”(Talk about health problems and accidents; Give advice)。
一、设计思路
指导思想:本节课的设计都是以英语新课程标准为准则,以任务型教学法和交际语言教学为理论依据,努力创设贴近生活的语言情景,以学生为中心,让学生在完成任务的过程中达到交际目的。本节课主要让学生认知表示身体部位的单某某以及部分疾病的表达方法,学会谈论自己和他人的健康状况。八年级学生存在两级分化现象,学生差异较大,为了调动学生的积极性,我注重分层,面向全体学生。
教学目标。
⑴知识与能力:
①. Master the words: matter, sore, have a cold, stomachache, foot, neck, stomach, throat, have a stomachache.
②. Master the structure:
A: What’s the matter?
B: I have a cold/stomachache...
③.Enable students to talk about health problems with the main structure. To improve students’ listening and speaking ability.(运用所学单某某,谈论身体状况,提高学生的听说能力。)
⑵方法与途径: Task- based language teaching method, the cooperative learning method, and multimedia-assisted teaching and learning method.
⑶情感与评价:
①Improve the cooperative spirit through group work.
②Students care more about themselves and their family members.
⑷现代教学手段的运用:The pictures about illness; PPT and Tape
3.教学重点与难点
⑴教学重点:Learn and master the parts of the body and the names of illness.
⑵教学难点:Learn to talk about health problems by using
“What’s the matter? I have a XXXXX”.
二、教学准备
由于本节课的话题是谈论健康,根据新课标的要求,学生需要掌握有关身体部位以及疾病的单某某,但是让他们在短时间内记住新单某某有难度,所以我设计了PPT, 通过多媒体辅助教学,可以增加趣味性;而且我还准备了有关疾病的图片,让学生印象更深刻;我还开展了guessing game ,pair work和 group work等多种教学法,使学生在轻松的气氛里掌握知识,达到最佳的教学效果。
三、教学过程
Step1. Lead in
Listen to a song, review the words of body parts. Then give students a picture of Guang Touqiang. Let them match the words of body parts with him. Then give pictures to learn new words.
(通过播放一首身体歌,复习所学过的有关身体部位的单某某,接着呈现一些图片教授新单某某,完成任务所需要掌握的语言结构。利用多媒体展示图片引入新单某某,直观,形象,印象深刻。)
Step2 Task1 Guessing Game
学生分组来操练刚学过的单某某,然后自愿来到讲台上表演一种疾病,其他学生来猜是什么疾病。
根据多媒体上的图片快速猜出健康状况。(通过竞猜形式巩固新的单某某,调动学生的积极性。给回答问题的学生所在组加分。)
Step3 Presentation
1. Present“What’s the matter with you? I have a cold/....”
(学会用“have +a+身体部位”表示身体某部位疼痛的表达法)
Ask
T: What’s the matter with you?
S1: I have a cold.
S2: I have a sore back.
(通过这个环节的教学,可以鼓励学生的积极参与活动,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,让学生掌握“What’s the matter?”的用法。)
Step4 1a
1. Look at the picture. Write the concert letter(a-m)for each part of the body.(学生自己快速完成,组内核对答案。)
2. Task2 Touch and say
Touch the parts of body when you hear your teacher sayXXXXX
(通过游戏的设计,再次调动学生参与课堂的积极性)
Step5 Listening1b
Listen and look at the picture. Then number the name (1-5).
(通过以上的操练、游戏等环节,同学们的兴趣很高,也掌握了一定的单某某和内容。这时通过听力既能检验学生掌握知识的情况,又能锻炼听力。动静结合,达到最佳教学效果。)
Step6 Pairwork1c
A: What’s the matter with Judy?
B: She has a sore throat.
(通过操练,进一步加强目标语言的运用。)
Step7Practice
学生三人一组,运用新句型询问身体状况,操练任务所需语言结构:A:What’s the matter with you ?
B: I have a cold.
C: What’s the matter with B?
A: B has a cold.
(学生以小组一对一的方法来操练,进一步加强对目标语言的运用,进一步巩固和深化所学知识。)
Step8 Homework
Remember the names of your body part.
Write converations by using the structure.
Step9.Blackboard Design
I have a cold. I have a sore back.
What’s the matter?
She has a sore throat. He has a toothache.
四、教学反思
This class we reviewed the words of body parts and learnt the names of illness. Students could use“ What’s the matter? I have a XXXXX.” to talk about people’s health.
In this class, I paid attention to students’ listening and speaking ability. Also let them take part in the class activities actively. (A song and two guessing games.) But still some poor students couldn’t follow me and did poor in English. I will try my best to help them.
