The Teaching Plan for English Basic Tenses

Teaching aims:

Enable the students to master the forms of the tenses.

2.Enable the students to use the tenses(predicate) and non-Predicate verbs properly.

3.Teaching some sentence patterns.

Difficult Point:

1.The differences between the perfect tense and the simple past tense, and the differences between the perfect tense and the perfect continuous tense.

2.The skills to use the tenses(predicate) and non-Predicate verbs properly.

Teaching Procedures:

Step1. Lead-in

Enjoy a song. Let the students tell the function of the red words.

Step2.Appreciate & Observe

1.Let the students observe the sentences and sum up the form of each tense.

1.We are having English class now.

We were having Chinese class at this time yesterday.

was/were doing

3.We will be cleaning the room at 7:00 tomorrow.

will be doing

4.Miss Duan is a teacher and teaches English.

Step4.Show time

1.Enjoy a short video

2.work in groups and write something about what you have seen ( you can describe the scene or your feelings)using1-2sentences including at least one tense and one non-predicate Verb.

Write a passage about the video.
