定语从句教学设计 Revision of the Attributive Clause

教学内容Teaching contents:

定语从句是英语语法中较为重要的一环,在高三学生对定语从句已有一定程度的认识和掌握的前提下,此节课将定语从句的基本定义、用法以及高考常考点通过练习,让学生自己归纳总结出来。对定语从句知识点的复习讲解较为系统和清晰,举例典型,flash动画简明有趣,并配有专题专练。最后以写作形式让学生能够熟练使用定语从句,达到较好的复习效果。

二、教学目标 Teaching aims and demands:

a. Get the students to master the use of the Attributive Clause, making sure they know how to use it in their English learning freely.

b. Make sure the students know how to choose the relative pronouns anadverbs, and let them master the grammar in communicative environment.

c. Ask the students to practice writing some sentences using the Attributive Clause.

根据高中英语新课程标准以及当前教学改革,课程改革的先进理念,本课采用任务型教学途径,以学生为中心,尽量调动语言和非语言资源开展自主性学习的活动,使合作、探究与独立思考相结合,最大程度地优化学生的学习方式,提高课堂学习的效率。

五、教学过程 Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Lead-in

a. Give a passage including Attributive Clauses to students. Ask them to appreciate and underline the attributive clauses.Don’t forget the things that once you owned. Treasure the things that you can’t get. Don't give up the things that belong to you and keep those lost things in memory.

b. Enjoy a flash of the attributive clauses. Then ask students to sum up the definition and basic knowledge of the attributive clauses.

设计反思: 这部分用含有定语从句的名言以及flash短片导入本课,简洁明了。Flash非常形象地展现出定语从句的定义。

Step 2: Presentation

Task 1: relative exercise

a. Fill in the blanks (the relative pronouns and adverbs)

b. Analyze their answers and find out the antecedents.

Task 2: Make a conclusion Analyze the function of the antecedents.

Task 3: analysis and distinction

Through the passage, discriminate some relative pronouns and adverbs, and explain their usage. a. that and which

同位语从句与定语从句的区别:

that引导同位语从句时不充当句子成分;用于定语从句则充当句子成分;用when, where, why引导同位语从句时,其前面的词不是相应的时间、地点、原因,而定语从句则必须是相应的时间、地点、原因。

The suggestion that the job is unfit for you is reasonable.(同位语从句) The suggestion that you put forward is reasonable.(定语从句)

设计反思: 这是本课的重点,同时也是难点。这部分用一篇文章作为高考题型语法填空练习,让学生合作完成后,分析所填的关系代词或关系副词在定语从句中的作用,并进行对比区分,尤其是that 与which的区别。每题答案皆与相应语法点链接,可将定语从句的常考点和易错点系统条理地通过语篇练习展现出来。

Step 3 Practice

Task 1:Finish the exercises about attributive clauses. (练习略)

设计反思: 这部分为定语从句的专题专练,精选历年高考题。

Task 2: Write an article using proper attributive clauses.

设计反思: 这部分将语法知识运用到写作练习中,从而培养学生的综合技能。

Step 4 Homework

a. Finish the writing exercise. b. Review attributive clauses by heart.
