Step Ⅰ Greet the class and check the homework.
Step Ⅱ. Section A 1a
T: Now open you books at page 13, look at the vacation in the picture,please. Can you tell me what you see in the picture?
Sa: Camping.
Sb: Babysitting.
Sc: Playing basketball.
Sd: Watching TV.
T: Oh, great. You’re quite right. Ok.. I’ll tell you some more. Please read after me. Write the activities down on the black board. Then ask students to make a list and add some more. Check the answers.
Step Ⅲ 1b
Display the wall calendar. Point to the next weekend on the calendar. Ten students what I’m going to do on Saturday or Sunday. Then introduce the question to go with the answer. For examples, I’m staying home on Saturday?
Repeat the same steps with one or two other weekend activities. Then tell students listen to three conversations. Ask students to look at the activities in the picture. Three pictures have boxes in front of them. Listen to the recording and write a conversation number from 1 to 3 in each box. Play the recording for students and have them fill in the answers. Then correct the answers.
Step Ⅳ 1c pairwork
read the dialogue in 1c to students.

ask students to look at the picture. Explain babysitting to students.
work with a partner. Ask and answer questions about the people in the picture.
then ask some pairs to ask and answer the question as the rest of students listen.

Ask students to read the questions. For each answer, type in the correct form of the subject and verb. Ask students to write down these sentences in their exercise books.

First ask the students to look at the chart and listen to the conversations. Then fill in the answers first under “what” the “when”. Play the recording again. Make sure every student can fill in the answers. Then check the answers.
Step 2c Groupwork
First ask two students to read the dialogue. Then the teacher get the students into small groups. Talk about their vacation plans. Use the given conversations as an example. Then ask the groups to present their vacation plans to the class.

Step greet the class and check the homework
Step Show the new words on the screen. Teach students the new words. Read the new words and ask students to repeat.
Step 3a
Look at 3a first. I ask two students to read the conversation. Then ask students to look at the chart. There are two questions in the chart. Ask them to finish the activity individually. Then correct the answers.
Step 3b Pairwork
first let students practice the conversation in 3a. then use the information below to make their own conversations. Ask two students to read the example the speech bubbles.
point out the example conversation comes from the first information in the chart. Ask students to work in pairs. Take turns to ask and answer.
have different pairs of students perform each of the conversations for the class.
Step 4 Vacation dreams!
there is a note about a dream vacation.
write about your dream vacation, one that you would love to take.
collect the notes and put them in the paper bag. Then have students reach in and take out a paper without looking at it.
tell students to go around the room. Ask each other questions to find out if they are holding the paper that some certain students wrote.
as students talk to each other, move around the class, offering language support if needed.

Read the paragraph to the class, saying blank each time when coming to a blank line. Then ask the class to read the paragraph themselves and fill in the blanks. Tell the students answers will vary.

Ask some students to read their vacation plans to class. Listen the student’s ideas.

Review the whole unit for the test.
